Traveling with little ones can be stressful—we make it simpler. NomadEnfant provides premium, sanitized baby gear rentals with transparent pricing, reliable delivery, and guaranteed availability.

Most items are always in stock, and if not, we’ll provide a comparable model or open a brand-new one for you.

  • How do I place an order?

    Select your gear, choose your dates and delivery location, and checkout. See it, book it, use it. Pricing is upfront and your booking is confirmed instantly.

  • How far in advance should I reserve?

    Reservations are recommended for peace of mind during holidays and peak seasons, but most of the time we have everything in stock—even for same-day bookings. If a particular model isn’t available, we’ll provide a comparable option or, on occasion, a freshly prepared unit placed into rental service for your booking.

  • Is there a minimum rental period?

    You can rent for as little as one day. Discounts automatically apply for extended rental terms.

  • Can I modify or cancel my reservation?

    Your booking is fully flexible up until 24 hours before delivery or pickup. You can cancel or reschedule with no penalty and receive a full refund.

    Within 24 hours of your scheduled delivery or pickup, cancellation is still possible — however, delivery fees may apply if a driver has already been dispatched. If no items have left our premises, rental fees will be refunded or credited. No deposit or payment is processed until your rental contract is confirmed (by online checkout or signed agreement, whichever comes first).

  • Do you offer deliveries?

    Yes. We deliver across Greater Vancouver.

    Delivery is free on orders of $150 or more. For smaller orders, a flat $25 delivery fee applies. Optional in-home setup is available for $25. Airport or after-hours deliveries include a small surcharge, shown instantly at checkout.

    Everything we rent is stocked and ready to go. If the exact item you ordered isn’t available, we’ll provide a comparable model or open a brand-new one for you—no surprises, no delays.

  • Can I pick up my rental instead of paying for delivery?

    Yes. NomadEnfant.ca is operated by TJ’s the Kiddies Store Ltd. (dba TJsKids), a leading baby gear retailer in BC. Free pickup is available at any TJsKids retail location during business hours. Your rental contract remains with TJ’s the Kiddies Store Ltd., regardless of pickup or delivery method.

  • Available Payments

    We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, WeChat Pay, and Alipay. Payment for your rental can be made with any of these methods.

    Please note: all deposits must be secured with a major credit card. At delivery or pickup, the cardholder must be present with both the card and matching photo ID to complete the hand-off of goods.

  • Do you require a deposit?

    Yes. A security deposit is secured by credit card once your rental contract is confirmed (by online checkout or signed agreement, whichever comes first). Depending on your card issuer, this may be processed as a refundable charge or a temporary hold. Deposits are released or refunded within 7 business days after your rental return, less any itemized deductions for loss, damage, or excessive cleaning.

  • Are your products clean and safe?

    Every item goes through our 5-Step Sanitization Standard, which includes deep cleaning, steam treatment, and inspection. Gear is safe, hygienic, and ready to use

  • Will my rental equipment be new or used?

    All rentals are delivered in pristine condition. In many cases, you’ll receive gear that is Like New—or Brand New Out of the Box.

  • What do I do if I don't know how to operate or use a piece of gear?

    Most rentals include the manufacturer’s instructions, and car seats always have instructions printed directly on the seat. Every product page also links to the official manual.

    Our drivers can assist with setup at delivery. For car seats, NomadEnfant has certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) on staff. They demonstrate correct installation and guide you step by step, in person or by video. For safety and liability reasons, they will not physically attach the seatbelt, lower anchors, or secure the final installation — that responsibility always rests with the parent or guardian.

  • What if I’m not satisfied with the gear?

    If your rental equipment does not meet expectations, we’ll promptly replace it with a comparable or, if needed, a newly prepared unit at no extra cost.

  • Do you help with car seat installation?

    Yes. NomadEnfant has certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) on staff to support you with safe car seat installation.

    You can visit us in-store for hands-on guidance, or schedule a live video call with one of our experts. Our CPSTs demonstrate correct use and guide you through the process step by step. For safety and liability reasons, they will not physically attach the seatbelt, lower anchors, or secure the final installation — that responsibility always rests with the parent or guardian.

  • What are the car seat laws in BC?

    In BC, children must use an appropriate seat from 40 lbs until age 9 or 145 cm (4’9”), whichever comes first.

  • Can a child ride in a taxi without a car seat in BC?

    Yes, taxis are legally exempt. Ride-hailing services like Uber and Lyft are not. For safety, we recommend always using a proper restraint.

  • What happens if a rented car seat is in an accident?

    If a rented car seat is in an accident, it must be retired. Please inform us and your insurer immediately. We will supply a replacement rental unit. Depending on insurance coverage, replacement value of the retired seat may apply.

  • What happens if I damage the baby gear, return it very dirty or lose the baby gear?

    If gear is returned damaged, excessively dirty, or not returned, you may be charged the fair replacement cost, defined as the lower of current retail or depreciated value based on age and condition.
  • Can I take rented items on a trip with me?

    If gear is lost or damaged during air travel, responsibility rests with the renter to claim against the airline. Standard rental liability terms apply.

  • Do you offer discounts for multiple items or extended rentals?

    Yes. Our tiered pricing automatically applies discounts for longer rental terms. Contact us for additional discounts on multiple items.

  • Non-Returnable Items

    For hygiene and safety reasons, certain personal-use items cannot be returned or re-rented once opened. These products are clearly marked at checkout.

    This policy protects your health and ensures that no previously used items in this category ever re-enter our rental inventory.
